Colombia’s government and the State Council have strong differences regarding the justice reform that is being reviewed in the Congress. In a public ceremony at the Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango, the President of the State Council, Mauricio Fajardo, and the president of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, showed their disagreements. In his speech, Fajardo, asked the government to carefully review certain points that would detract from autonomy to justice. In response, the president said that in the project they don’t want to interfere with the independence of justice.
