Ante 17.342 espectadores en el Perth Oval, llamado también HBF Park, Colombia perdió su primer partido en el mundial femenino de mayores, pero clasificó a los octavos de final del certamen y como líder. Lo hizo con su nómina titular y además, del resultado en contra, perdió a Manuela Vanegas, lateral y autora del gol ante Alemania para la próxima fase.

Pese a la derrota, Colombia pasa como líder del grupo H y se medirá a Jamaica el próximo martes 8 de agosto a las 3 a. m.
