Commander Captured

The former commander of the Colombian Police, William Montezuma, was captured for allegedly demanding large sums of money from a guerrilla to release him. Freddy Omar Perez, an ELN guerrilla member who was captured in 2005, said he had given to three police officers including Montezuma , the sum of 600 million pesos in exchange for his release. However, as he said at the time "They tricked me, they took the money and didn’t give me my freedom".
